Somizi opens about about those HIV rumours

It's been two years since Somizi Mhlongo's  life was rocked by those nasty HIV positive rumours.

In an exclusive interview with Nicky Greenwall, Somizi wants to set the record straight on his life, relationships and also opens up about his upbringing.

Somizi also talks about the lives of his parents - Mary Twala and the late Ndaba Mhlongo.

"I got sick and before I knew it, people were saying that I was dying. Someone sent social media into a frenzy after they posted a RIP message to me on Facebook," he explained.

Somizi added that the media went wild with the HIV positive rumours and he didn't know what had hit him.

Parts of the interview was released ahead of this week's episode of The Close Up.
