Sonia Sedibe is no longer involved in the Real Housewives of Johannesburg series.
Sources told City Press that the actress was ditched because of her diva tendencies and “lack of professionalism.”
According to one of the paper's sources, the show lost two of the housewives because they didn't want to work with Sonia. "We even lost potential sponsors because they didn't want to be associated with Sedibe. They assumed it was her production," another source added.
But the former Generations actress told the paper that she was not fired and claimed she left the show on good terms. "I left because of better offers. If I was a diva, would I make tea for the team?"
She added that she loves the housewives. "I'm the one who hand-picked them, after all. We had a good working relationship," she claimed. The paper reported that Sonia was initially one of the housewives but later became the shows's production manager.
The owner of the company which produces the show, Archie Tieger, confirmed that Sonia had left. He told City Press, "It was an agreement. She didn't fit our profile. Things were just not working out."
