Sophie Ndaba: "The greatest love of all is self-love"

Following her nasty split from her ex husband, pastor Keith Harrington, Sophie Ndaba has opened up about loving herself and getting rid of "toxic" relationships.

The actress told Move Magazine: "It's important love yourself first, before anyone else, " before adding, "self love teaches you to say no to things that aren't good for you and get out of situations, friendships and relationships that are toxic".

We're not sure if the comments were made as a dig at her ex, but Sophie says the decision to love herself came from experiences she's had in her life and help her maintain balance in her busy life. "Sometimes you have to say no to your friends, no to your family, no to your children and no to work. You have to find a balance, and it's okay to say no sometimes" she says.

That formula for balance must really come in handy for Sophie, especially since her public divorce in 2012 left her a single mother to raise a 14 year old son. But Sophie says it's not that difficult if you don't doubt yourself.

"I've decided to not make it difficult for myself. There's a saying 'when you think long, you think wrong ', so I make the best decisions that I can," she says, adding that it's important to find out what her son is interested in and go with it.

Wise words, Sophie!
