Eish just got real. For the first time in South African history a puppet will be taken to court!
Yup, you're reading correctly, Steve Hofmeyr secured a court interdict against Chester Missing in the Randburg Magistrate's Court yesterday.
Chester, who is known for his satirical take on SA politics, belongs to comedian and ventriloquist Conrad Koch, who publicly challenged the singer for his controversial Apartheid tweet last week.
The court order prevents Conrad aka Chester from harassing Steve on Twitter, making defamatory statements about him and from mentioning him on any media platforms.
"My first court order against Conrad Koch... succeeded and four more are coming," Steve posted on Facebook.
The singer told the Beeld that until the comedian appeared in court on 27 November, Conrad was not allowed to contact him, his sponsors or business partners directly.
But this has not sent Chester running for the hills. In fact, Chester hit back at the singer after being informed about the court order. Chester's Twitter page is filled with updates on the matter and he's even called out other corporate like SAA and eTV for sponsoring the singer.
"Haha. Stevo, I am gonna burn u for this one. RT @steve_hofmeyr The ANC created 'white' by creating a new victim based on skin colour post 94," Chester tweeted.
YOH!
