Survivor's Altaaf "I'm not homophobic. I'll even kiss Zavion on the finale to prove it"

Altaaf Sheik used to be one the most liked tribe members in Survivor - until last night.

Not only did his temper get in the way, childishly emptying rice into a fire after he found out his name was on the list to be voted off the show, his homophobic slur towards fellow contestant, Zavion, has had social networks alight with anger.

"Maybe because he's gay he doesn't have the balls to say it to my face," was his comment towards Zavion.

"I was mortified. I was embarrassed," Altaaf told us a day after the show aired.

Altaaf says he immediately phoned Zavion to apologise. "Zavion laughed. He said it was just a game and it was just a moment of anger. I told him we can even kiss on the finale."

Oooh, now that would make good telly.

And just like so many who have left the game, Altaaf says the one person he doesn't want to stay in touch with is Graham Jenneker. "I don't handle betrayal very well.  I trusted him from the start and he betrayed me."

Ouch.
