Lucia Mthiyane says she's done with acting

Johannesburg - Veteran actress Lucia Mthiyane used to light up our screens on popular soapies Rhythm City and Muvhango, but now the only thing she'll be heating up is the kitchen.

It's no secret that Lucia has transformed herself into one of the best celeb chefs in Mzansi, even though she's never invited us around for a bite.

But in a recent chat with Move, the actress reveals why she will never trade her cutlery for the glamour of the screen.

It seems her problem is with the actors and actresses of today.

"I have decided to take a break from acting because there is no respect for the career in the current acting generation," she says.

"They are disrespectful of our acting. They are not into acting because of passion - they are there for fame and money and that is one of the reasons I have decided to take a break from it," she adds.
