Teko Modise allegedly drowning in debt

Teko Modise is the latest soccer star to join the list of players allegedly facing financial difficulty.

Sunday World is reporting that despite earning R330 000 per month, Teko has defaulted on his bond, car and credit card payments for more than six months.

As a result of this, the soccer player's assets are at risk of being repossessed and auctioned off. The paper claims that Teko is owing the bank R59 512 in arrears on his BMW 125i Coupe and R128 422 for his Ruimsig mansion.

It has also been alleged that the soccer star has ignored all pleas from the bank to settle his accounts, which forced them to obtain court orders against him.

Teko could not be reached for comment.
