Terry Pheto's new film scores a nod at the Toronto Film Festival

Johannesburg - Terry Pheto's new film is going straight to the land of Drake!

Just months after her last film won accolades at the LA Film Festival (read more about that here), Terry Pheto's latest film is also headed overseas, this time to compete at the Toronto Film Festival.

"My next feature film, Cuckold, directed by Charlie Vundla has been selected for the Toronto Film Festival this year. It's quite exciting. We're heading to Toronto in a few weeks and then onto the Chicago Film Festival," Terry tells The Juice.

Cuckold tells the story of a young professor consumed by alcoholism and drugs. After his wife leaves him for another man, he is saved from self-destruction by a former school friend who helps him on a journey to save his marriage, house and himself.

Terry also reveals that her international award-winning film, Ayanda and the Mechanic, has been picked up by "a big international distributor."

You know what rhymes with Terry? Winner! ... okay, it doesn't but, really, it should!
