Actress and presenter, Thando Thabete, has been getting some serious flak over the years for her light complexion, with many claiming she bleaches in order to be more white, but Thando says the hate doesn't affect her anymore.
Speaking to Khanyi Mbau on her popular talk show, Katch it with Khanyi, Thando says she does not bleach but was born light and she doesn't understand the fascination with her skin tone.
"The yellow bone thing is a new phenomena," she says. "Growing up it wasn't cool they didn't call you yellow bone they would call you Dark Dindy and it wasn't nice. In fact I wanted to be dark!"
Thando also says despite the criticism she's no coconut and she still down with the hood- she was born in Orlando, Soweto after all.
