While some artists have been working hard to keep their fans entertained, it seems others need to go back to the drawing board.
This year we've been blessed with a lot hit tracks, and unfortunately, our ears have endured some pretty whack songs. We don't mean to offend anyone but truth be told, some songs should have never made it to the studio. No ways!
Here's a list of 2014's worst songs:
Slikour - Slikourdashian
We're not sure if Slikour was really serious about that Slikourdashian song. The rapper has been in the game for years and we expected quite a lot from him. We were so excited when we heard that he was dropping a new track, only to be disappointed with the content. First of all the name of the song kinda shocked us, and we were more shocked when we saw the cover art. Don't get us started on the lyrics.
Ifani and Sakhekile - I can't believe this
The name of the song pretty much sums it all up: it's unbelievable! We kinda feel disrespected by Ifani and Sakhekile for thinking that this song was even worth recording... We get that artists have to stay true to themselves and all, but come on, guys, are y'all for real?
Will.i.am and Cody Wise - It's my birthday
We miss the days when Will.i.am used to produce magic with the Black Eyed Peas. These days the singer seems to be a bit confused with the direction his music is supposed to be taking. It's my birthday is right up the with the songs that should have just remained as ideas. Really!
JR featuring Okmalumkoolkat and Spoek Mathambo - Bob Mabena
Soz, JR. We're really not feeling your track. We get that you were probably trying to pay tribute to Bob, who's a radio legend. But no hey, the song just doesn't make sense. It's a NO from us.
Psyfo featuring Ifani - Umtu Wam
Oh, Look! Ifani makes another appearance. This time, the rapper is featured by Psyfo on his track titled Umtu Wam. Uhm... the song features the two artists calling out a couple of celebrities' names and claiming that they belong to them. Eish... Another one that should have just remained as just an idea. What happened to creativity, guys? This is unacceptable.
