These sport stars made us totes proud this year

Sport is very big in South Africa. It has the ability to bring the nation together and somehow always makes South Africans happy. Whether it's soccer, rugby or cricket, the people of Mzansi are behind it! Of course, these games would not be possible without the players.

So, here are some of our fave sport stars for 2014:

Chad Le Clos

Does he even need an introduction? Chad has made this nation proud so many times. He's the best swimmer in the world, according to the International Swimming Federation (Fina). He also became the first swimmer in history to win the 50m, 100m and 200m butterfly at the Fina World Short-Course Championships in Doha. Do we need to say more? No!

Portia Modise

Portia is really dominating the soccer field. The soccer player was named Player of the Championship at the 2006 Women's African Football Championship. This year she became the first African footballer to score 100 international goals. Amazing! The Banyana Banyana star also walked walked away with SA Sports Star of the Year at this year's SA Sports Awards. She's definitely slaying!

Bryan Habana

We love us some Habana! The Springbok star plated his 100th test match against Australia in September. To commemorate this special occasion, Adidas have made Bryan a pair of custom green and gold boots. Fitting, right?
