Johannesburg - Poppy Ntshongwana has a body a lot of us girls only dream of. But if you think it comes easy, stop right there!
While the 5FM DJ has always had a love of running, she recently embarked on a run 5km a day for 30 days challenge. And she did it. Not just that, she had a goal of doing 5km in under 30 minutes. Now, for those of you that don't know, that's blerrie fast.
But it wasn't just about the running. Poppy's daily updates took us all on an emotional journey, as we sat back on our couches with that koeksister, watching her achieve her goals.
"It's been one of those crazy and emo days for me... #Reeva. But this run made me forget everything for a little bit. Sometimes I spend my runs thinking about stuff and sometimes it's just awesome to not think about anything but the next KM. Either way, running clears my mind. It's incredibly therapeutic."
So, she did the challenge and instead of hitting the pies, she immediately embarked on the next step: 15 days of S.W.E.A.T 1000 - a high-endurance fitness class. (Trust us, we've done a few, and it's HARD)
And that folks, is why Poppy has that body. More importantly, she's fit, healthy and inspires others!
