Thugs gate crash celeb birthday party

Johannesburg - Local celebs were lucky to escape with their lives this past weekend when a fancy birthday party they were attending was interupted by a gang of thugs.

According to Sowetan, Selimathunzi presenter Siphesihle Vazi was celebrating his 23rd birthday in Alexandra on Sunday evening when four thugs stole the show.

The gang held up party guests, including celebs Lunga Shabalala, Generations' Asanda Foji, Skeem Saam's Clement Maosa, DJ Monotone, and former Muvhango actor Nkululeko Magoba.

With so many hotties in one room, we wonder if the thieves were female?

Anyways, the thugs stormed the venue with long rifles, while Nkululeko was on the decks and a waiter had to rush up to the VIP section to warn celebs to lie on the floor as there were robbers downstairs.

The robbers cleaned out the cash register and then left, without firing a shot. But Siphesihle says he's just glad no one was hurt in the ordeal.

"Apparently, there were five or six (robbers) but I only saw four from the VIP section (upstairs). They just stayed downstairs," Siphesihle said.

But not everyone was as calm as Siphesihle during the ordeal, Skeem Saam's Clement Maosa says he feared for his life during the incident.

"I was scared to death and it happened so fast that all I could think about was my life, whether i would live or die," he told the paper.
