Trevor Gumbi: "SA comedy is progressing"

It seems like October is a very big month for so many people. On the 29th, Goliath and Goliath's AWEdnesday Comedy Jam is turning three. To celebrate this milestone, Goliath and Goliath with be at the Lyric Theathre in Gold Reef City at 8pm. This is their first theathre show.

The two and a half hour show will feature comedians like Conrad Koch/Chester Missing, Stuart Taylor, Richelieu Beaunior, Trevor Gumbi and Donovan, Jason and Nicholas Goliath.

Speaking about the show, Trevor said: "We're gonna have some fun, man. Judging from the line-up we've got people from different walks of life, so it's gonna be an all-encompassing show. There's something for everyone."

Trevor also congratulated Trevor Noah on his new gig on The Daily Show and added that this is a big deal. He said South African comedy is progressing and that people are taking it seriously.

On which SA comedians to look out for, Trevor said: "There are cats like Loyiso Madinga as well. That's a guy to really look out for.  I think he's amazing. And there's a very underrated guy, Jay Boogie. Consistently, Skhumba - he's been doing amazing work."
