Johannesburg - Wizkid is the latest big name to be used to con unsuspecting fans out of their money.

According to Pulse, Wizkid's management has issued a statement confirming that the naija superstar's twitter account has been hacked and attempts made to swindle unsuspecting fans of their hard earned money, using the account.

"The twitter account of Africa's reigning artiste Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has been taking over by Fraudsters. Who are currently displacing fake numbers and claiming to be wizkid's manager Sunday Are and taking money from individuals," the statement read.

The statement further asks fans to ignore any tweets that may have been sent from the account until it is recovered.
