Tsotsi's use radio DJ's FB page to con people out of R20 000

Johannesburg - If you are Facebook friends, or following, Lesedi FM's Thuso Motaung, you may want to remove him!

The legendary radio host is the latest victim of a cash-for-tenders scam that is sweeping Mzansi.

According to Sowetan, Thuso is gatvol after crooks started a FB account using his name to fleece fans out of their money.

Thuso says that a fraudster by the name of Nkhatho has been using the account to ask his fans for money, with the promise of tenders and jobs in return.

"I only found out about this on Thursday when people started asking me about these jobs I've been promising people," her reveals.

"This is very shocking. These people have also been selling sheep and horses because they know that people in Lesotho love horses. They've demanded up to R20,000 and they asked that you send the money via e-wallet because they don't want to use any bank account.

One of the unfortunate few to fall for the scam was Thuso's lawyer, who last year transferred R4,500 to the thugs after they told him that Thuso was in hospital and needed money.

Moral of the story: Be careful who you stalk on Facebook, it might just cost you!
