Vho-Albert leaving Muvhango after 17 years

They say all good things come to an end. Muvhango actor Ndivhuwo Mutsila, who plays the role of Vho-Albert on the popular soapie, is leaving.

Ndivhuwo, who had no prior training in TV and drama before joining the show, told Move that he is grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to Venda culture. He started out as a cultural advisor and translator before playing the role for 17 years. "I'm grateful to have been part of this pioneering series that has done so much in teaching people about Venda language and culture," he told the mag.

He added: "I hope there are many spin-offs from it giving opportunities that will continue to develop Venda people and put our culture and our language on the map."

He said he wants to carry on with his work as a cultural advisor and a translator.
