WATCH NOW: DJ Fresh helps refurbish a children's home

After weeks of hard work the Little Pina Pina Educare Centre in Soweto looks brand new . And, it's all thanks to the great support from the public.

Four weeks ago, DJ Fresh and  Gumtree made an appeal to people to donate goods or volunteer their skills. The response was overwhelming.

At the start of the project, DJ Fresh explained that the centre needed everything as it was falling apart. "The day care centre needs lots of love. More than 60 children come here everyday and it's just not a cool place for little kids to be hanging out," he explained.

Now the centre has been transformed into a kiddies' paradise. "We knew it wouldn't be easy but we were determined. Who would've thought that we would be able to transform Little Pina Pina from run-down to totally transformed in four weeks," said DJ Fresh.

He thanked everyone who heeded the call from the bottom of his heart. "Thank you so much Gauteng, you all chipped in and blew me away," DJ Fresh added.
