What is AKA on about now?

In case you missed it, rapper AKA has been officially verified by Twitter.

He's not the first local celeb to be verified, even though he and his fans would have us think so. The local rappers' fans have been all over social media congratulating him on getting verified and he's been basking the glory of it (0bvs), taunting his rival over the verification.

"Yesterday, the lame spent more time being witty with my song titles than pushing his own hustle. We trended twice + got verified. Lesson." AKA tweeted.

He even told comedian David Kau, "What do you mean Verified? I tried to get Verified I got kicked out of the Post Office, Home Affairs, Foreign Affairs, Nkandla - they don't know WTF I'm talking about."

It's worth noting that quite a few South African celebs got verified this week, including Danny K and Donald but neither of them made such a fuss.

AKA just seems to enjoy his time in the spotlight more than most, even basking in the glory of being voted fourth in the coolest music star at the Generation Next Awards last week.
