“When did I choose the wrong love?” Singer Mathew Gold writes a moving tribute song for Reeva.

Talented local singer-songwriter Mathew Gold has only gone and broke our hearts this morning by releasing a song about Reeva Steenkamp and her last words.

The moving acoustic tribute includes emotional lines like "When did I choose the wrong love?… Take your ring and your good luck…" and "Since when have I lost touch? Since when have I lost love?". There’s also the dark "I got something to tell you... I had a dream that I dreamt that I chocked you!" and the song ends with the chilling words “I don't need you". Yoh!

Taking a snap of himself with Oscar, Mathew wrote: "We have slowly started to forget about him. So inspiring how he changed his life and equally sad how it ended in one night!"

How did the song come about? “Yesterday, (1 July) I visited the University Of Pretoria and took this picture of myself next to Oscar Pistorius. I wrote and recorded this song with a fictional opinion about what Reeva's last words were. This is my unofficial story," Mathew wrote on his Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Mat adds that the song can be applied to not only Oscar and Reeva, but to all couples. "This is not just about them [Reeva and Oscar]; many people are in tough situations daily. This is also for you."

Heart wrenching!
