Why Nonhle Thema is leaving Club 808

Nonhle Thema's Club 808 journey has sadly come to an end.

Nonhle made the shocking announcement this afternoon that she will be leaving the popular e-tv show at the end of the month.

Talking about the reasons for her departure, Nonhle says the show is taking a new direction towards a younger audience that she feels she can no longer relate to.

She says she will instead focus on her acting career and honing her skills behind the scenes, including developing her own TV show catering to a more mature audience.

"It’s been a great experience working on Club 808. I have enjoyed working with Mo Flava, the Red Pepper crew and e.tv. I received a great welcome from e.tv and we have formed a very strong relationship which goes beyond Club 808,” said Nonhle

“I am currently focusing on developing my acting career and honing my skills in other serious aspects of television production. The Club 808 viewers have been amazing and I’d like to thank them for  their support. My relationship with e.tv remains solid and I am definitely looking forward to working with them on other projects in the future,”  she added.
