Winnie Ntshaba on her divorce: 'I'm in a happy space'

Johannesburg- Former Generations star Winnie Ntshaba has revealed that she's buried the past and is in a very "good space" right now.

The actress, who went through a divorce two years ago, opened up to Drum magazine where she explained that she and her ex-hubby have put their differences aside for the sake of their six-year-old son, Phenyo.

Winnie's divorce made headlines last year amid claims of abuse but Winnie has demised those rumours.

She also explained to the mag that the turning point between her and her ex-husband came when their son questioned her about his dad hitting her.

"One day I was sitting with my son at home and he asked me if his father had ever hit me. I was so numb. I immediately called Thabo and put him on speaker to hear what Phenyo was saying," she told the mag.

Winnie added that it was then that they both decided not to let their fights and pettiness "ruin this beautiful being" that was a result of their love.

On that note, Winnie turns 40 in September and is looking forward to this new chapter in her life, she says.
