Zahara gets some family help on upcoming album

Johannesburg - Zahara has turned to her sisters to get some help and inspiration for her new album.

The songbird is hard at work on her third album, and has roped in her three sisters to help her record a song or two for the album.

Zahara took to Facebook recently to post a picture of herself with her three older sisters in studio.

Now we Cooking! Are you ready for 3rd album?

Zahara's sisters are musicians in their own right, going by the name of the Mkutukana Sisters. The gospel-singing trio were set to release their debut album last year.

Ever since Zahara lost her brother last year, the singer has been battling with depression, negative headlines and rumours of her love for alcohol. She has come out several times to deny the claims (read about some of the claims here) but it's good to see her turning to family as she starts to rebuild her life and work on new music.

Zahara's new album is set for completion by the end of the year, with the songbird hinting at features with Chicco Twala, Sfiso Ncwane, Bethusile Mcinga and Dumi Mkokstad (More on that here).

Zahara's label has confirmed that she will also be working with Robbie Malinga on the new album.
