Zonke covers Destiny magazine

It's the battle of the magazine covers this December.

Celebs like Minnie Dlamini, Bucie and Bonang Matheba have each bagged covers on some of SA's fave mags. Zonke has also scored herself a cover on Destiny mag's Decemeber issue.

Among other things, Zonke talked life in the music industry and about the relationship between artists and their managers. She explained: "We have a long way to go. It's a pay as you go situation: managers don't manage the life of artists in its entirety, whether that be picking up groceries for their kids at home or helping them when they get into trouble." She believes that managers should be able play a strong business role.

"But that's not happening in SA. Managers here wait for the artists to blow up and then get on board and ride the wave. Very few out there making deals happen for artists; making sure they're known. The managers are the celebrities and the artists are the beggars in South Africa," she said.
