Big Nuz: We will stay a family until the casket drops

Johannesburg - Like bubblegum on your church shoes, the rumours of Big Nuz leaving Afrotainment just won't wash off.

The popular group were the centre of attention this week when reports claimed that they had been mistreated by their record label, Afrotainment, and were set to leave the stable.

Speaking to The Juice on Thursday, Afrotainment boss DJ Tira reassured fans that Big Nuz would not be leaving the popular label. He added that if the group wanted to leave, they could. (more on that here).

But that wasn't enough for some people, and the company had to issue a statement to try bury the rumours once and for all.

In a statement issued on Friday, Afrotainment wrote:

"Although we would not normally entertain street rumors aimed at defaming us you can only take so much as you watch someone drag your name in the mud.

Over the past 8years we have grown from strength to strength due to the commitment, sweat and tears we shared as young black and gifted individuals. Our ethos at Afro is based on family. We were a family in the beginning. We are a family now and we will stay a family until the casket drops.

It is this very ethos that makes us a unique and successful business and it is this very ethos that has kept us together.

Whilst we are not obligated to share what we do with our profits to anyone, we cannot continue to watch as lie after lie after lie is entertained at our expense. Yes we have contracts but we work as a partnership so as to allow individuals signed to the company to grow, hence Mampintsha, Danger, Cndo etc have grown into successful entrepreneurs outside of music.

As we enter into 2016 we continue doing it for the fans...we are busy recording with Naak Music and Joocy, albums to be released soon as well as preparing for the big December release which is a stable effort....so wait for the music listen to the rhythm and dance to the beat...we are EZASEAFRO"
