Johannesburg - DJ Black Coffee has come out strongly against rumours surrounding his commitment to artists on his record label.
Black Coffee has found himself in the centre of a storm, after ongoing reports of artists leaving his record label, Soulistic Music, complaining that the DJ has not done enough to promote their careers at the label.
The reports started with the exodus of Culoe De Song early last year, and gathered steam with reports of DJ Shimza following suit a few months later.
The matter came alive again this past weekend with reports that artist Da Capo was also looking to leave the label after apparently not being promoted enough by his bosses.
And even though Da Capo has been silent on the rumours, it started a debate that led to Culoe De Song coming out in defence of his old boss, saying he would not have the opportunities he has without the help of Black Coffee (read his response here).
Now Black Coffee himself has taken to social media to talk about the rumours, suggesting he has lost many a friend because of it.
Big up to the young Culoe for speaking out.
