Celeb kids prepare for school

Johannesburg - It's back to school time, and some of our favourites celebs have a case of serious separation-anxiety.

Celebs including Carol Tshabalala, Kelly Khumalo and Khuli Chana have all had to say emotional goodbyes to their kids this week, as their little one's prepare for the new school year.

Carol Tshabalala's son, Joel, started his first day as a boarder at King Edward VII in Johannesburg. And after an earlier mix up with registration, which saw the family rush home to get Joel dressed and ready for school, Carol took to social media to share her excitement

"I'm so proud. We made it. My son is in boarding school. I am the coolest mom," she said on Snapchat.

It was a bit more anxious in Kelly Khumalo's house after the Asine singer had to drop off her daughter, Thingo for her first day at creche on Tuesday. And naturally tears flowed.

There were similar scenes in the home of Khuli Chana and Asanda Maku, after their little girl, Nai started her first day at school.

"I'm so proud of Nia! I had to hold my tears back because I didn't want her to feel guilty for staying. Lol but the moment I got into the car,I started balling my eyes out. I know this is part of life and there'll be many more milestones. My baby is growing up too fast though," Asanda told her Instagram followers of the experience.
