Johannesburg - DJ Sbu has come out in strong support of Gareth Cliff, blasting people who have labelled him as racist.
Sbu, who was interviewed on CliffCentral earlier today posted a video clip of Gareth during the interview onto his Instagram page.
In a detailed message, Sbu said that people need to take a look at CliffCentral to see how many black people Gareth has empowered.
Gareth, who is the co-founder of CliffCentral, began the online radio station after leaving 5FM in 2014.
"He usually tells it like it is & pisses off a lot of people but I can bet my last Mofaya CAN he is the last person to be racist."
Sbu is referring to an incident on social media last week which saw Gareth Cliff being fired from the judging panel on Idols SA.
Gareth was commenting on freedom of speech regarding racial comments made by estate agent, Penny Sparrow. Social Media critics called for Idols to be boycotted, and M-Net announced that he would no longer be on the judging panel.
While Gareth has said that he won't sue M-Net, he has confirmed that he is seeking legal advice on the matter.
