DJ Shimza's one man show to benefit orphans

Johannesburg- DJ Shimza's annual one man show aims to raise much-needed funds for orphaned children.

This year will mark seven years since Shimza started hosting the annual Christmas lunch and performance for kids who don't have families to spend this special day with.

Every year Shimza caters for around 500 children and this year he wants to double the number of orphans who benefit from the show. Shimza hopes to have 1000 children at the Mehlareng stadium in Tembisa.

"After my one man show in January, I normally buy stationary and school uniforms for those that I can reach so that they are also well equipped for the school year ahead. This year through my one man show I want to raise 1000 new school shoes for 2016. I urge people to please support the show because I believe that this is a reachable goal. If one man can do a bit for their community then together we can build a stronger nation," Shimza said.

In order to put the show together Shimza also needs sponsorship for food supplies, tents, transport, jumping castles or anything that can help make the day fun for the kids.

Tickets for the show are available at Computicket or if you'd like to help visit djshimza.com
