Double delight for Mpumi and Kabomo on Coke Studio

Johannesburg - It was another exciting episode of Coke Studio this week. Not only did we discover a new artist, but superstars Kabomo and Mpumi also provide a Coke Studio first during their bumper studio session.

Here's what went down on Coke Studio this week:

Mpumi x Kabomo

When songbird Mpumi met up with award-winning afro-soul singer and producer, Kabomo, the pair hit it off straight away!

In fact, their fusion was so nice they decided to do it twice, recording not one, but TWO tracks in the Coke Studio.

What we loved most about the fusion:

This was the first time Mpumi had sung a song in English, but you would never had said that listening to the track that came from their fusion. The duo's second track seemed to be a more comfortable fit for both artists,  as they beat out a catchy latin-inspired house track.

Where to get the track:

The tracks are called Simple Things and Uthando Lungenzani and you can get them here and here.

N'veigh x Lara

What would an episode of Coke Studio be without us hearing from some of the country's hottest undiscovered talent? This week we were introduced to hip-hop/kwaito artist, N'Veigh and returning talent, Lara Gear (remember her fusion with Salma, Sheela and Nina on episode two?)

What we loved most about the fusion:

Lara seemed more comfortable on her return to the Coke Studio, and it showed in a near flawless performance with N'Veigh. These are two artists who have a bright future in SA music and it was great to see them working so hard to establish their names.

Where to get the track:

The track is called Hotel and you can get it here.
