Johannesburg - Dr Malinga has cemented himself as an important part of SA music. Not only for his undeniable musical talents, but also for his larger than life personality.
So when Dr Malinga revealed his musical plans for the rest of 2016 to The Juice recently, we weren’t surprised to hear that they were larger than life.
“I have big plans for the next few months. People can expect to see Dr Malinga too much. Not only Dr Malinga, but also the artists under his record label Linga’s Entertainment. Linga’s entertainment is going to be big,” he says.
Malinga reveals that at the centre of his plans is a new album.
“People must expect Dr Malinga’s double disc album," he says. “I’m going back to my roots. There’s going to be a lot of house music and some other surprises to show people the other side of Dr Malinga. Maybe two tracks of gospel,” he says.
Dr Malinga also reveals that, contrary to recent rumours, he’s not planning to leave Oskido’s Kalawa Jazmee but rather develop his own label, Lingas Entertainment, with the help of Kalawa Jazmee.
We guess you could say, Dr Malinga’s career is just “kicking off”?
