Has Uzalo's Gxabhashe resigned?

Johannesburg- It's being reported that Uzalo actor, Mpumelelo Bhulose aka Gxabhashe, will no longer be apart of the soapie. 

This comes after months of confusion and swirling rumours surrounding the actor's role on Uzalo. 

First it was rumoured that Gxabhashe had allegedly been fired by management for repeatedly butting heads with co-workers and producers. This was followed by reports that due to pressure from viewers, the actor had to be brought back onto the soapie. 

Shortly afterwards Uzalo producers rubbished the rumours stating that Gxabhashe was never leaving. 

Now the actor's job at the soapie has come into the spotlight yet again. 

Sunday Sun is reporting that sources close to the situation have revealed that he has apparently resigned from the soapie. 

"Gxabhashe shocked many when he resigned. He tole management that he had found greener pastures, but didn't say where he was heading," said the source. 

When contacted by the paper, the actor would not be drawn into commenting on the matter. 

Uzalo publicist Marang Setshwaelo also would not reveal any details. 

"In the interest of maintaining the integrity of the story line, Uzalo doesn't reveal - in advance - the movement of cast members," she said.
