Heavy K's plans to put Eastern Cape on the map

Johannesburg - Sit down and pay attention! Heavy K has an ambitious plan to make the Eastern Cape the centre of the musical universe.

Talking to Metro FM's Tbo Touch this week, Heavy reveals that he plans to shoot a massive musical DVD with all of the Eastern Cape musicians he's worked with.

"I want to show my other side and showcase some of the talent that the Eastern Cape has," he told Touch.

In addition to the DVD, Heavy says he is working towards starting a foundation which will provide assistance to students in the Eastern Cape area.

"I'm trying to put some money together to start a foundation. So that it can benefit kids in the province, whether they are disabled or cannot study. Obviously, it will start with the arts because it is my strong point, but I don't want a foundation that is limited," he says.

Heavy reveals that he wants to name the foundation after his late mother who he lost last year (more on that here).

So struggling artists, it's time to move to the Eastern Cape!
