Johannesburg- Hip-hop heavyweight HHP hopes to unite North West University students by shooting his music video for PASOPA at the campus this Friday.
This comes hot-on-the-heels of violent protests which erupted among students at the university, who vandalised and burned university property.
Two weeks ago in the wake of the violent outbursts, HHP came out strongly to condemn the violence in his hometown.
At the time, an angry HHP told students that they were burning their legacy, which generations before them fought for.
The rapper recently announced that he's decided to shoot PASOPA's music video at the university, to highlight their plight in a peaceful manner.
"It's going to be a DOPE turn out this Friday for the Pasopa video. Gather at the entrance of NWU. Please comrades...I plead. I ask. I want- a peaceful demonstration whilst shooting the video. Please. Let us not use violence but ITELLECT. We are smart. We are educated. We just want to be heard. We just want to finish studying. We just want jobs," HHP said on social media.
The rapper has called on all students to be apart of the video to have their voices heard.
