Johannesburg - Kabelo and Gail Mabalane may be one of the most loved celebrity couples in Mzansi, but you'll hardly see them flaunt their romance in public.
That's because, as Gail tells The Juice, the couple decided a long time ago to keep their love out of the spotlight.
"We dated for about two years before we got married. When we started dating we both felt that we needed to give our relationship a fair chance. Building a new relationship is hard, and when it's done in the public eye it's 10 times harder," she says.
"I feel like when your romance is in the public eye it kind of takes away any fair chance it has. We needed to decide whether we wanted to be together without any outside influences," she added.
Gail says that the couple saw how being out of the public eye has helped their romance flourish and they decided to adopt it going forward, even after welcoming their daughter Zoe last year.
"It's important because it's so easy to get carried away and suddenly everyone has an opinion, which kind of informs any decision you make. So the privacy has allowed us to get to know each other without that pressure," she says.
