Johannesburg- TV personality, Hulisani Ravele has come out strongly after apparently not being treated properly at a primary school in the affluent Johannesburg suburb of Northcliff.
Hulisani took to Twitter, where she detailed an unpleasant experience she had at Northcliff Primary School during a recent visit to enquire about the application process.
Hulisani explained that the person assisting with applications spoke to her in the most "rude and condescending way."
The TV star says she walked away feeling hurt and disgusted by the way she was made to feel like she didn't belong there.
Here's Hulisani's experience in her words:
Just had an awful experience at Northcliff Primary. Went to get application forms and the lady spoke to me in the rudest, condescending way.

First she asks why I'm wanting to apply so late. To which I respond unexpected circumstances have resulted in living arrangement changes.

Then she says where do you live, I tell her, then she says we are by the feeder school to your area go to this school. Cool, I get that.

Then I ask what is the feeder school for area X, and she says it's this school i.e. Northcliff Primary. Her tone then took a turn...

She says ja but you can't just apply, can you prove this person lives there, you'll have to prove that and get an affidavit, do you own it?

To which I respond yes, don't worry, we can get you all that information. She then just walks away and another lady kindly gives me the form

...assume I don't live in the area or have other family in the area and therefore treat me & speak to me like I don't belong is disgusting.

We bring our kids from the township to these schools because they give them a shot at a better education. Don't deprive them & us of that!!!
