Johannesburg- Judith Sephuma and First Lady, Bongi Ngema have joined hands to help empower young women from rural areas.
The songbird's foundation, The Judith Sephuma Foundation, was started with her passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young women.
Speaking to The Juice, chairperson of the foundation, Thabo Sephuma explained that Judith has always been passionate about assisting destitute and underprivileged children.
"Judith is incredibly passionate about motivating children and the foundation assists with donating food parcels and other essentials to schools across the country. Judith also engages parents and teachers about the importance of nutrition," he explained.
The foundation is also aims to create awareness of diabetes and the importance of living healthy.
"Another aspect that is incredibly close to Judith's heart is empowering young women from rural areas and underprivileged backgrounds. She met with the First Lady to discuss how they, as prominent women in the country, can make a difference in women development," Thabo said.
Shortly after the meeting with the First Lady, Judith described her as an "amazing woman."
