In the soapie, Tshidi has been seen doing witchcraft with a snake to protect her family. The soapie hogged the Twitter trends list for days after Tshidi's first scene with the snake aired.
"I am a healer. A child of the gods. The stories I tell on Generations are in no way a reflection of my views, but I will tell them to the best of my ability," she said.
Letoya explained that as a sangoma she refuses to be associated with witchcraft.
"Tshidi is doing nothing less of witchcraft, and it is witchcraft regardless of the fact that she's doing it out of love for her family. Witchcraft is a negative space and I refuse to put myself in it," she added.
