Melusi Yeni's ecstatic about his TV comeback

Johannesburg- It's definitely been a rough year for actor, Melusi Yeni.

Since October last year the former Muvhango star found himself embroiled in a public maintenance scandal with his baby mama, Palesa Molemela.

Shortly after the scandal emerged through various newspaper reports, Melusi lost his job at Muvhango, allegedly over the public scandal. The actor was then apparently dragged to court by Palesa in an attempt to get him to honour child maintenance payments.

Almost immediately after the scandal emerged, and loosing his job, a string of reports emerged about Melusi's deteriorating health.

It was believed that the actor had moved back home to Durban, was in financial trouble and was at some point bed-ridden.

But just over a year later things have started looking up for Melusi.

Last week it was revealed that Melusi will be returning to the small screen, after bagging a role on e.tv's Rhythm City. (Read more on that here)

Speaking to Move! magazine, Melusi explained that he's grateful for a second chance in life.

"I was dying and nobody noticed that. Whatever that was not true that was written about me, God will take care of it. I'm back now and I'm working again," he said.

Adding, "I've been away from the small screen for a number of months now, so I have been itching to get back in the mix and do what I do best, and that is to entertain."
