Miss SA Liesl Laurie takes the Miss World Africa title

Johannesburg - Drama may have surrounded the crowning of Miss Universe this past weekend, but there can be no complaints from Miss SA, Liesl Laurie, after she walked away with the Miss World Africa crown.

Liesl has spent most of the past three weeks in China competing in the Miss World pageant (read more about that here).

Rolene Strauss handed over her crown to Miss Spain, Mireia Lalaguna Royo in a star-studded ceremony over the weekend.

Liesl made it into the pageant's top 10 and later walked away with the Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty: Africa title.

Here's what she had to say on her Instagram account.
