Johannesburg - Shikisha presenter, Ntombi Mzolo on Tuesday confirmed that her baby has passed away after being born with a rare heart condition.
Speaking to The Juice just after she gave birth to her baby boy, Ntombi explained that while she was pregnant her baby was diagnosed with Hypoplastic left heart syndrome - a condition in which the left side of the heart is not developed properly, and cannot pump blood adequately to the rest of the body.
At the time, doctors advised her to consider terminating the pregnancy at 7 months pregnant as the baby would have little to no chance of survival. But Ntombi said she could not do that, and decided to leave her baby's fate in God's hands.
"I was in complete shock when doctors first told me. My husband was out of the country and I struggled to sleep for days. Doctors wanted me to terminate, but I couldn't kill my baby."
In November, Ntombi gave birth and her baby was immediately rushed ICU. Although at time his condition seemed to be getting better, Ntombi shared the sad news with fans on her Instagram account.
"Our Son faught a battle of many men...He was a silent prophet who ministered the word and saved many souls without ever uttering a word...therefore as a family we believe that his purpose was fulfilled. He has taught us a lot as a family and brought us even closer to God. We thank the Almighty for allowing us the opportunity to be blessed by the life of #Dunamis. He was indeed the #DunamisPower #GodsWarrior After all the lessons learnt from him he took his last breath yesteday 21 November just after 3pm."
