Johannesburg- Pearl Thusi clearly isn't letting the bumpy start to the year get in the way of her goals.
Just last week Pearl found herself in the middle of a social media storm, after social media users ridiculed her decision to wear a wig to this year's Metro FM Awards.
Pearl's wig became a talking point across the country, which saw her trending for over two days. People compared Pearl's wig to Jackie Chan's hairstyle, which also gave birth to a string of memes. (Read more on that here)
However, that seems to be water under the bridge for Pearl, who has hinted at a major project coming soon. (Obvs, the Lip Sync Battle Africa hosting gig)
Along with the then cryptic announcement, Pearl snidely dismissed her haters.
"Something BIG is coming...God is soooo good. They say that all things work together for good for those who love the lord. And when people try to bring you down God raises you even higher. I couldn't be more thankful. Pave your own way. Own your future. Stay focused. Thank you Lord," Pearl wrote on social media.
Yes, Pearl is talking to all you hair critics, fashion police and Twitter detectives out there!
