Rapulana Seiphemo showing positive signs of recovery

Johannesburg- Generations:The Legacy actor Rapulana Seiphemo's family is optimistic about his recovery, following a fatal accident on the N14 near Diepsloot on Sunday night.

The accident claimed the lives of two people who were declared dead on the scene by paramedics, while a third person died in hospital on Tuesday evening.

Rapulana was airlifted to Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg, where he is currently receiving treatment after undergoing surgery on Monday.

Speaking to The Juice on Wednesday Rapulana's family spokesperson, Mduduzi Sikhakhane said that the family are feeling hopeful.

"After going in for surgery Rapulana is aware of his surroundings, which is a good sign. He has been heavily sedated because of the pain, but we are optimistic about his recovery," Mduduzi said.

Mduduzi added that Rapulana's vitals are functioning as normal and the feedback from doctors have been positive.

However, Mduduzi could not comment on what surgery the actor underwent.

"The family has decided to keep the details about his surgery out of the public eye," he explained.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday night rumours that the actor passed away began doing the rounds on social media, with fans sending messages of condolences to his family.
