Johannesburg - The first Valentine's Day after a split can be a difficult affair. But Reason found a sweet idea to celebrate.
The rapper, who separated from his wife last year, spent Valentines with his daughter, taking her on an adorable Valentine's Day date.
But as cute as the date was, it soon became very serious with Reason having to explain to his little girl why her mommy was no longer his Valentine.
"It was our first official #ValentinesDay date today... And I must say it was #BitterSweet. As much as she was happy to be my Valentine and sharing this moment with me, I could tell that a huge part of her still didn't fully understand why her mom wasn't my Valentine," he wrote of the experience.
"As sad of a conversation starter this may have been for both of us... I found it be very fruitful to fully engage with her about it. Honestly and considerately. So we spoke. a lot. She said a lot. She asked a lot. And even suggested a lot. In the end... some understanding and clarity was shared," he added.
But the rapper says the experience taught him a very valuable lesson.
"But she made me realise one important thing though... That as much as I have a lot to teach her about love... I also have a lot to learn from her about love too. And that is... God," he said.
