Mshoza warned not to perform ahead of 'Michael Jackson' surgery

Johannesburg - Accroding to Sowetan, the self-titled "Queen of Kwaito" is preparing for "extreme" surgery and the heatwave that threatens to melt the nation is not helping her cause.

Speaking to the paper this week, Mshoza was quoted as saying that doctors have ordered her to stay indoors and prepare for the surgery, which includes lots of water and a steady course of pills and injections.

"There are a number of doctors working on me. I will be the first person in South Africa to have it done. It's basically what Michael Jackson did. Then it will be formally introduced to everyone when it's complete."

The problem is Mshoza is set to perform at the ANC birthday celebrations this weekend, and she says her skin is too sensitive for heat.

"Obviously I can't walk in the sun, it can cause a lot of damage, and the heatwave makes it more sensitive," she says. Should the temperatures not cool, Mshoza would have to miss the event.
