Reports: Family not impressed by Pirates star's wedding wait

Johannesburg - Don't you just hate it when an unexpected, but urgent, work assignment pulls you away from your wedding day?

Well, that's exactly what happened with Orlando Pirates defender Siyabonga Sangweni.

The star defender was supposed to tie-the-knot this weekend, but instead was in Tunisia playing in the CAF Confederations Cup final- and apparently his family wasn't half impressed.

According to Sunday Sun, the stars family was only told about the wedding's postponement recently, after months of preparation for the big day.

"It did not sit well with us when my brother phoned last week to break the news that the wedding had to be postponed. We had everything ready for the wedding, but we have to wait another month now,” said Siyabonga's sister, Khokhi.

A source told the paper that the family was left angry because in the Zulu tradition it is seen as bad luck to postpone your wedding day.

Maybe that's why Bucs didn't walk away with the win?
