Reports: Sfiso Ncwane's pastor speaks out

Johannesburg - The Nigerian-born pastor who apparently "saved" gospel star, Sfiso Ncwane from pending death has broken his silence.

According to Sowetan, the pastor who received a R2 million car from Sfiso Ncwane (more on that here) says he would not have accepted the gift if he knew that Sfiso's mother was starving and living in poverty.

“The gift of the car that he gave me was his way of showing appreciation and being grateful to me for praying for him after he was in a coma and released from hospital,” said pastor Francis Anosike of Rock of Victory Ministries.

The pastor maintains that he is not one of those pastors who prey on their congregation for money, and says he has been counselling Sfiso for over nine years.

“There are many fake prophets. I pastor to many South Africans who are highly intelligent and more educated than them. I pastored and journeyed with Sfiso for over nine years. I have known him even before he became popular, pastoring to him,” said Francis.
