Johannesburg- Just last year Nomzamo Mbatha was seen as one of the brightest young talents in Mzansi - the one to watch.
But 2016 will be remembered as the year actress Nomzamo ran with that title and became one of Mzansi’s latest “it” girls.
Nomzamo may have started the year making headlines for her supposed long-running feud with co-star, Jessica Nkosi, but she soon shook off the drama with several TV gigs and a lead role in the local box office hit, Tell Me Sweet Something, where she starred alongside hottie Maps Maponyane.
Talking of sweet somethings, Nomzamo had us guessing all year about her relationship with co-star and “bestie," Maps. All the signs seemed to suggest that the two are a little more than friends, but both were too shy to confirm the romance.
It all made for a whirlwind year and, in her own words, “A year to remember."
