The 5 worst Super Bowl ads

Cape Town – Last week we brought you the top 5 entertaining Super Bowl ads that poke fun at our favourite celebrities.

Here is a list of the 5 worst Super Bowl ads that aired on Sunday night:

1. Nationwide Insurance – This commercial took a gloomy turn where the clip starred a young boy listing off all the things he’ll never have a chance to do – like ride a bike or travel the world. The commercial then cuts to a bathtub overflowing with water.

2. Coca-Cola – Taking on internet bullying, it opens up with horrible things people spread on the internet like awful comments etc, but once the wires are infused with Coca-Cola, joy and laughter is spread.

3. Game of War – Model Kate Upton stars in this apps commercial where her bath gets interrupted by a fire that erupts in the fantasy app game.

4. Fiat – Advertising one of their upcoming 2016 vehicles that is only just barely safe for work, the ad stars an older man about to "get down to business" with his lady friend. He first goes to his medicine cabinet to get a blue pill - only to throw it out the window.

The pill bounces around Italy and lands in a gas tank of a red car which immediately "gets a little excited".

5. Loctite Glue - In the ad, a bunch of people get down to some techno music with fanny packs and oversize pairs of glasses. The commercial shows the crowd using the glue to fix glasses, glue bottles to the wall, and glue a unicorn to a jacket - so you can really do anything with it.

These ads are definitely cringeworthy....
