Pokemon-themed porn is on the rise

Los Angeles - Pokemon Go's' success as a mobile game has increased the amount of Pokemon-themed porn.

The popular Nintendo mobile game - developed by Niantic - has added $14 billion to the value of the gaming firm with millions of people playing the game and performing Google searches in their quest to collect all characters.

But online searches for Pokemon porn has started to rise - with the likes of Poke balls, Squirtle and Bellsprout having alternative meanings to those featured in the game.

According to web porn pusher Pornhub, searches for Pokemon-themed video porn has more than doubled since the game was released on 6 July.

Their data shows men are 62% more likely to search for Pokemon porn than women - with those aged 18-24 being 336 times more likely to hunt than others, similarly Android phone owners are statistically 51% more likely to hunt for it than those who own iPhones.

But it's not the first game to see relevant porn spikes - porn hunters have similarly searched for rude content surrounding games Overwatch and Minecraft and there are porn parodies of Simpsons, Star Wars and Scooby Doo.
